Banker and Tradesman: Vincent O'Donnell talks about challenges of preserving affordable housing in Boston
Vincent O'Donnell, vice president of the Affordable Housing Preservation Initiative for LISC, recently took part in a panel discussion during a week-long housing conference entitled "Housing Boston 2012: Strategies for High-Cost Cities." Mr. O'Donnell praises the cooperation between CDCs and the City of Boston and talks about challenges of preserving affordable housing in such a high-cost area - including expiring restrictions and owners eager to convert their properties to market-rates.
